Looking for the best pregnancy websites to support you during these special, crazy, and often tough 9 months of your life? You are in the right place, mama!
First of all, let me just tell you that I’m so glad you’re here. As a labor and delivery nurse, one piece of advice I always give to pregnant mamas is to get obsessed with their pregnancy and birth. And there’s probably no better way to do that than spending time on pregnancy-related websites!
Let me explain that a little more.
You see, the better educated and informed you are about what to expect during this journey, the more positive your experience is going to be. When you’re well-read and in touch with what’s normal and what’s not, you’re going to be better prepared to advocate for yourself, ask questions, and act if any obstacles do occur.
In addition to the best pregnancy websites, I encourage you to check out pregnancy podcasts and pregnancy apps, too! All of these resources together are going to help you rock this journey into motherhood.
Now let’s get into our list!

American Pregnancy Association
This is a website that I personally love as a healthcare professional! This pregnancy website is really easy to navigate thanks to a carefully planned out menu and design.
I love that they provide evidence-based info that’s easy to digest and understand. Most of their content is related to you and your baby’s physical health and development during pregnancy.
This website has tons of specific articles related to almost every pregnancy symptom, complication, or concern that you can think of!
If I need a quick reference for someone, I’ll often search the topic + American Pregnancy Association on Google because I just love the way they put together the info you’re looking for. And you’ll know it’s a source you can trust.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)
This is another website that provides evidence-based information on all things related to women’s health. Specifically, I recommend checking out their pregnancy section for a variety of articles on every pregnancy topic you can think of.
They organize their articles into “Expert Views”, “Patient Stories”, and “FAQs”. The FAQ articles address pregnancy issues, complications, tests, etc. in a well-rounded manner. And the Expert Views and Patient Stories provide personal insight into different births, pregnancies, and experiences.
If you’re currently in your first trimester, their sections on Prenatal Testing and Health and Safety for pregnancy are a really great place to start. If you are further along and have had a complication occur such as preeclampsia or gestational diabetes, the Medical Problems During Pregnancy will give you the info you need.
Overall, I think every pregnant mama can benefit from browsing around on their site!
BabyList
BabyList is a great website for creating your registry because it allows you to add anything to your registry from any store! Additionally, they’ve got the BabyList store that’s a curated selection of some of the top baby items out there to help you decide what you need.
I also love that they have a list of up-to-date guides such as “Best Car Seats” or “Best Baby Carriers” to help you take a deep dive into selecting the type of product that will best fit your lifestyle.
But it’s more than just a place to make a registry. They’ve got lots of supportive articles to take the guesswork out of this daunting task. Check out their sample registries for specific circumstances, such as “Second Baby Registry” or “City Registry”. And other sample registries put together by industry experts and celebrities.
I actually put together an article for BabyList that you can check out: 17 Products for an Easier Postpartum Recovery, According to an L&D Nurse – let me know what ya think!
Baby Center and What to Expect
All right, so no ‘best pregnancy websites’ round-up would be complete without Baby Center and What to Expect. These websites are often described as lifelines for mamas during pregnancy. They have definitely taken the place of the pregnancy books of our parents’ generation!
I grouped these two websites together on the list because I think what they have to offer is very similar, but there is definitely value in visiting and frequenting both! They allow you to put in your due date, and every time you visit the site, you’ll get curated content to where you’re at in pregnancy (a lot like our weekly pregnancy emails!).
One of the most popular aspects of these sites is the community forums. Joining your “birth month” club is a great way to connect with other women from around the world that are going through exactly what you’re going through.
You can comment on other threads, start your own, or just lurk and read to know you’re not alone in what you’re experiencing!
Pregnant Chicken
Pregnant Chicken is a wonderful resource for every expecting and new mom, and I am a big fan! They cover the ins and outs of the entire pregnancy and birth, often with a healthy dose of humor thrown in.
The articles on Pregnant Chicken are written by their founder and team members, but many are guest-authored by fellow moms too.
I love that this creates a well-rounded perspective and awesome collection of articles on so many different aspects of this crazy time in life.
Bonus tip, they’ve got a really fun spin on weekly pregnancy updates that you definitely don’t want to miss!
The Bump
The Bump is another awesome collection of pregnancy-related articles organized by trimester, extending into baby and toddlerhood as well. Like Pregnant Chicken, the articles are written by all different voices and you can find equal parts fun and information in all of the articles.
A lot of mamas find their “Best of Awards” super helpful while putting together their registry – so be sure to check that out! I also really like that they have a whole section dedicated to baby names and a community forum that includes monthly birth clubs!
I authored an article on The Bump that you can check out as a starting point: Common Fears About Giving Birth – And How to Overcome Them.
Plus Size Birth
Plus Size Birth is a website that was founded by certified childbirth educator, Jen McLellan. It’s a resource for plus-size pregnant moms and birth professionals. The mission behind her site is to provide positive, evidence-based information and support to plus-size women that are currently pregnant or trying to conceive.
Since she launched her site 10 years ago, it has become a leading resource for plus-size pregnant women here in the US, and I cannot recommend it enough!
I had the pleasure of chatting with Jen on her podcast, Plus Mommy, back in April 2021. We discussed how to best support a plus-size labor and delivery. You can find the episode here!
Baby Chick
Baby Chick was founded by Nina Spears, aka The Baby Chick! She is an expert in the pregnancy and baby world with a number of certifications in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum doula care.
Baby Chick has an extensive, and well-organized collection of pregnancy and postpartum articles on just about every topic you can think of! Articles are written by a variety of different voices and experts, and I just love how it brings in a variety of viewpoints.
Don’t miss her podcast, Chick Chat, too! I actually had the opportunity to be a guest on her show as well.

Nameberry
Okay, you guys, this is actually a new-to-me website, and it’s pretty amazing. I am seriously blown away at what a comprehensive name resource this is! We had such a tough time choosing a name for my second baby (Ryland), and I feel like this would have helped us so much.
They have this really cool tool called “Baby Name DNA” that basically puts a bunch of name pairs in front of you and based on your selections it uses an algorithm to create a list of names that fit your style.
When I was putting together this article and playing around with it, I was pretty impressed! Definitely worth checking it out, even if just for the fun of it ?
And Mommy Labor Nurse of course!
I couldn’t round out this list of the best pregnancy websites without highlighting this one! I founded Mommy Labor Nurse back in 2017 to help mamas just like you find the information they needed to have a more positive and better birth!
As a labor and delivery nurse, I saw what a difference education makes on the entire pregnancy and birth experience, so I started my own blog and Instagram platform to share my knowledge with as many women as possible.
Since then, Mommy Labor Nurse has grown into a go-to resource throughout the world for pregnancy and birth resources. From our informational blog articles and creative Instagram graphics to our online birth courses, we’ve helped tens of thousands of women have a better birth – and we would love to be a part of your journey too!
So what do you think mamas? Is there a pregnancy website you’d add to the list? I’d love to keep the recommendations going in the comments – so be sure to chime in!
