Hiya! Are you Christmas shopping for your favorite Mom-to-be this holiday season? Maybe you’re looking for a Mother’s Day present for an expectant mom? OR, maybe…you’re just needing ideas for pregnancy gifts for first time moms?

Well, look no further! I’ve gathered 30 pregnancy gift ideas for first time moms!

I loved getting gifts while I was pregnant!! (Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love presents period?)

Most of the gifts you receive at your baby shower, or during your pregnancy are for baby, NOT for mom. So, when someone you love gets you a little something JUST for you, it’s greatly appreciated!

In fact, one of my good friends got me this awesome pregnancy present that lasted my whole 9 months!

But, if you’re just looking for a little something…here’s the list! (PS: All of the items you can snag on Amazon!)

Pregnancy gifts for first time moms

A BUMP BOX

Bump Boxes are all the rage nowadays! These cute little subscription boxes are tailored for a new mama in each of her trimesters (there’s even one for postpartum, too!). Definitely a super thoughtful gift for a new mom (there are usually 6-10 items in each box!).

THE BELLY BOOK

I had this adorable book during my pregnancy, and I can’t stress how much I LOVED it! It’s so fun documenting each week, and I’ve looked back in it multiple times to go down memory lane! A MUST-HAVE for any first-time mom!

A PREGNANCY CHALKBOARD

This chalkboard is also a fun way to document your pregnancy! They are all over Instagram and Facebook! It’s so fun taking bump pics too, and looking back at week comparisons!

Pregnancy gifts for the first trimester

A PREGNANCY PILLOW

I don’t care what anyone tells you. Mama needs this in her first trimester! (even before you get pregnant, you need this, haha!) These pillows are so comfy! This one by PharMeDoc is multipurpose and can be used to support essentially every part of your body!

STRETCH MARK CREAM

Ahh, the holy stretch mark cream! This is a great stocking stuffer, too! Read my guide on buying stretch mark creams here, if you’re interested in learning more!

PREGGIE POPS

Is mama a little nauseated? Preggie Pops are an awesome gift for the mom who looks green. They have a special blend to help mama stay morning-sickness free! (Or at least HELP!)

PREGGERS: AKA, THE MILLENIAL’S “WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU’RE EXPECTING

I LOVE Preggers! My friend Chelsea at Life With My Littles published this book in early 2019, and it’s a must read if you’re pregnant! It’s light-hearted, chocked full of info, and way more down-to-earth than What To Expect!

MORNING SICKNESS TEA

Pink Stork makes a great morning sickness tea for the mom who’s dealing with nausea. It’s a blend of Ginger and Blood Orange, and helps combat that poor tummy!

LUCKY FISH

So this thing is cool, right? We all know how important it is to keep your iron-levels in check while you’re pregnant, and Lucky Fish is a simple additive mom can use to add a day’s worth of iron to her food or water! Safe for pregnant women (and it’s kinda cute too?).

A NECK/BACK MASSAGER

This massager is the best one on Amazon, I promise! Mama will LOVE you if you gift her with a massage she can get any time she wants! My neck/shoulders used to get SO sore!

Gifts for the second trimester

AN ULTRASOUND FRAME

SOOOO CUTE! This ultrasound frame is perfect for a second-trimester mama because she goes to her anatomy scan around 17-18 weeks!

TIRED AS A MOTHER COFFEE CUP

Even though mama needs to limit caffeine, the March of Dimes came out (along with the AAP and ACOG) and said less than 200mg of caffeine a day is OKAY, and hasn’t been shown to affect fetal outcomes. So, if mama is a coffee lover (and tired), this cup is perfect!

A CUTE WATER BOTTLE

I just LOVE this water bottle! I with someone had gotten it for me!! It even comes with cute little milestone stickers to add to the bottle, PERFECT for a mama-to-be who needs to stay hydrated!

A CUTE MATERNITY SHIRT

They have just under 1 million of these adorable bump shirts to choose from on Amazon! I thought this one was super cute, but they have so many others! Once mama hits the second trimester, it’s a great time to start buying maternity shirts!

COMPRESSION SOCKS

So, I wasn’t a crazy huge fan of compression socks while I was pregnant, but I know many women swear by them (especially if you are one of the lucky ones that gets super swollen). They have a few different sizes, so make sure you know mom’s calf size.

AN INITIAL NECKLACE

Did mama share what baby’s name is going to be? Get her a cute initial necklace with baby’s first name! (My husband did this for me for my first Mother’s Day, and I wear it every day!)

SLIPPERS

When you’re pregnant, your feet hurt. Get your pregnant sister/friend/daughter some super comfy slippers, and I promise she will love you forever!

New call-to-action

BRA EXTENDERS/PANTS EXTENDERS

*The gift of being able to wear your pants (and your bras) for longer*

STRAIGHT UP MATERNITY PANTS

Soooo..I know this may sound weird, but maternity pants are SO COMFY! If someone had gotten me maternity pants for Christmas, I would have kissed them. Just saying, pants go a long way!

WEDGE PILLOW

This pillow is way better than the standard “fold your pillow in half and shove it under your belly” method! Gives mama and baby some support!

Gifts for the third trimester

A BELLY SUPPORT BAND

Belly support bands are AMAZING! You definitely wanna grab mama one that also hooks above her belly. (Some only go below)

A BREASTFEEDING CLASS

gift ideas for mom to be

If mom is planning on breastfeeding, do her a favor and get her this comprehensive breastfeeding class! Milkology’s Ultimate Breastfeeding Course is only $27 and it literally contains EVERYTHING you need to know about makin’ milk!

I like to encourage moms to take this pre-birth, so they have an idea of what to expect! Seriously, this is a PERFECT gift for a mom who plans on nursing!

A HOSPITAL GOWN

Some mamas prefer to opt out of our standard hospital gear, and bring their own! If you know the mom you are shopping for is the stylish type, this hospital gown is a perfect gift!

A ROBE

Along with hospital gowns, some moms like to stay super cute postpartum as well and bring fancy robes! (They are also GREAT for breastfeeding!) I like the ones that have matching baby outfits too!

A BIRTH/YOGA BALL

EVERY pregnant mama needs one of these balls! A birth ball can help mama’s posture, help induce labor, help align baby in an ample birth position, and aid in labor progression on the big day! Just make sure you grab the right size, based on mom’s height (sizing chart is included in the Amazon page)!

A BELLY CAST

Casting your belly is so popular for many mamas these days! It’s CRAZY how much our bodies change during pregnancy, and having a belly cast done is a cool way of remembering how AMAZING your body is!

K-TAPE

If you’re looking to “support” mom through her pregnancy, this is the gift for you! K-Tape can be used in numerous ways to help mom’s belly, back and torso stay supported!

Check out this blog post on the multiple uses during pregnancy!

BELLYBUDS

Bellybuds are a fun way mama can connect with baby! They are a safe way of playing music to baby before he/she is even born! Rock, Classical, Pop, Gangsta-Rap, you name it! (Personally, my little guy was a fan of 90’s R&B while he was still in the womb!)

FRIDA MOM HOSPITAL PACKING KIT

Frida Mom has an adorable Labor and Delivery Kit for a mama who is about to deliver! If you’re looking to splurge a little more on mama, this kit is for you! Socks, nursing gown, peri bottle, and more, Frida Mom has ya girl covered for the big day and beyond!

And of course, if you’re looking for more stuff to pack in your bag, head over to this blog post!

HOSPITAL SOCKS

Kindred Bravely is known for having high-quality EVERYTHING! So when I saw these socks, I knew they were a perfect gift for a pregnant lady! I’ve also seen multiple patients of mine sporting different variations! They are just too cute!

BATH BOMBS

As long as mama owns a bathtub, bath bombs are a great gift!! I personally LOVED taking nice warm baths while I was pregnant, and those fancy bath bombs that are all the rage right now just make the experience all the more relaxing!

A CUTE KEYCHAIN

Sooo cute! You can get these cute little “Mama” Keychains in a few different versions!

BUMP STICKERS

How cute! I didn’t personally have a set of these bump stickers, but I totally envy all pregnant ladies who do! Totally wish I had bit the bullet and bought some for my growing bump!

THE BIG FAT ACTIVITY BOOK FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

This book is HILARIOUS! I’m also convinced any mom (regardless of if she’s currently pregnant) would get a kick out of this book!

A “PREGNANCY” POP SOCKET

These are hilarious guys! My personal favorite, the pregosaurus one! (Spoiler alert: They have TONS!)
