In this episode, I’m going to talk about how to prepare for your labor induction by going through the do’s and don’ts before your big day. Some are more obvious than others, but I’m going to be as thorough as possible.
I also want you to know that this list is intended for low-risk moms with uncomplicated pregnancies and scheduled inductions. It’s a bit different if you have a high-risk pregnancy with complications like preeclampsia or being preterm.
Before we dive into today’s topic, just know that if you have a medical induction on the horizon, you can keep learning here on the MLN podcast in Episode 72 , which is called “Help, what is an induction?”.
Next week on the MLN podcast, I will be responding to some second trimester questions, so be on the lookout!
A peek at the questions we covered:
- Should I eat something before a scheduled induction?
- What types of food should I avoid eating?
- What should I do the day before? Should I take a bath/shower?
- When should I pack my hospital bag?
- Should I take my daily medications before my induction?
