1. Tickled pink
This is a great theme to use if you are expecting a baby girl. You can use all the pink and girly things for this one! Some possible ideas include a pink onesie, cute baby shoes, or a pink blanket. You really can use any props you want to execute this pregnancy announcement idea.
2. Oh boy!
Along the same lines as “tickled pink”, you can also make your theme all things boy! Blue is typically associated with baby boy announcements, but you definitely don’t have to limit yourself to one color or even to a color at all.
You can take this one in many different directions by utilizing some of the more stereotypical boy items (toys, colors, themes) or you can put your own twist on it!
3. Adding a new player
This would be really cute for the gamer couple! On the announcement, put a game controller or even a shout out to you or your partner’s favorite video game! This is such a cute and creative way to announce that you have a little one on the way.
4. Roses are red, violets are blue, (due date) our baby is due
If the timing is right and you find yourself wanting to announce on or around Valentine’s Day, look no further than a catchy riddle to deliver your message! I love holidays so what’s better than a holiday-themed pregnancy announcement? Not a whole lot if you ask me!
5. We’re egg-specting
Here we go again with the holiday theme! I mean, I know it’s pretty cheesy but how cute and catchy is this? Egg-specting!! A great one to use if you are sharing your “egg-citing” (ha-ha) news around the Easter holiday.

6. Red, white, and DUE
I’m just going to go ahead and give you all my best holiday themed pregnancy announcement ideas! Do you want to announce your pregnancy around the 4th of July or are you expecting your little one around then? Either way, this little pun is a great way to announce your exciting news.
7. Trick or treat, our family is growing by two feet
There are so many things you can do with a Halloween or fall pregnancy announcement but this is one of my favorites! A pumpkin gives you a lot of material to work with when it comes to baby announcements!
8. No more silent nights, baby (last name) arriving (due date)
Wrapping up the holidays, this is a great way to announce your pregnancy around Christmas! I can just imagine the cute (and hilarious) pictures that you could put on this one. I’m laughing out loud just thinking about it!
9. Baby on board
You could do a lot with this idea depending on your interests and lifestyle! You could make it a ship or boat theme, or you could make it a surf or paddle board theme if that’s more fitting! Or maybe cruise ships are your thing? Either way, there are lots of creative things you can do here.
10. Our next great adventure begins (due date)
This is a good one for the adventurous couple. You can tailor it to be hiking, camping, mountain, or any other adventure theme you desire! One thing I love about this one is that you can really mold it to whatever jives with your lifestyle.
11. My parents are getting me a human
Perfect for the animal lover! This one never gets old to me, especially since I became a dog mama pretty recently. If I had my sweet Annie girl when I was expecting my boys, you better believe I would have incorporated her into the announcement!
12. Guard dog duties begin (due date)
Another great one for all my dog parents! I love seeing pictures of dogs with the “guard dog duties” sign in front of them. Without fail, I feel like the dogs always have this look on their face, maybe it’s protection or maybe it’s an “Are you kidding me?” glare. Either way, they always seem to go along with it!
13. Oh baby!
I like this one for a few reasons. It’s simple, sweet, gender neutral, and classic. “Oh baby” really lets you take this in any direction you want. You absolutely can’t go wrong with this pregnancy announcement idea!
14. Rainbow baby
A baby conceived after a pregnancy loss is often referred to as a “rainbow” baby. You can use this theme to announce your pregnancy – rainbow balloons to clothing to a rainbow painted on a pregnant belly, and everything in between. I must say, every single version of this particular announcement is absolutely beautiful.
15. Big sister/brother reporting to duty (due date)
This is a great one to use if you have an older sibling that you want to incorporate in the announcement. Totally not trying to compare your children to animals but similarly to the dogs, it’s almost as if the kids just know what’s going on and totally play the part! These pictures are always priceless!

16. Bun in the oven
Had to throw this one in for my foodies and baking lovers! Bun in the oven is cute because it can be something as simple as putting the words on a letter board, wearing a t-shirt that says “bun in the oven”, or literally putting a bun in the oven to surprise family and friends!
17. Adding a new player to the lineup
There are tons of sport themes announcements out there but this is a more general one for those that aren’t looking for something about one specific sport. Or feel free to tweak this to make it work for your favorite sport or team.
18. A tee time has been made on (due date) for baby (last name)’s arrival
If you are looking for something involving a more specific sport then this is a great one for the golf lovers!
19. We’re over the moon! Baby (last name) arriving (due date)
You can make this one simple and sweet with a moon and the writing underneath or you could turn it into a whole space theme. The world is your oyster, and you can make it as simple or as complex as you wish.
I personally love the simplicity of the words on a letter board with a little moon somewhere in the backdrop, but the outer space theme could be really fun too!
20. Ice, ice baby
Who doesn’t love vanilla ice?! And even though you can keep it simple by putting the words on a letter board or shirt, I have also seen pictures of a partner holding actual bags of ice next to the mama that’s holding her belly. Either way, a very cute idea!
